The Perfumry Edge
Based out of the Hudson Valley New York, we’ve proudly crafted cold-processed soaps and tallow-based skincare. Since our inception back in 2022, our repertoire has expanded into areas of similar interest such as in-house distillation and solvent-extraction of various resins and botanicals. But our growth didn’t stop there.
An Organic Extension
This journey began with a dream about a sea of cedar, and expanded further into understanding various tree oleoresins. By extension of working with various resin types through distillation, it was only natural to explore not just other forms of extraction, but of compounding as well. But understanding how to work with resins is only the beginning. We aspire to bring these new discoveries to the soap making world in ways never seen before.
Why All Natural?
Like many of you out there, I spent years dealing with dry, itchy and irritated skin reactions from different soaps, deodorant, and especially colognes. Going natural was the next step, but this was short lived due to lack of accessibility and product consistency. And hardly anybody ever mentioned all natural perfumery, until more recently.
In order to avoid this problem, Seven Resins follows the old-school approach of fragrance production: formulating high-end perfumery with some of the finest naturally sourced ingredients found in the world of aromas today. We are proud to not only produce soaps with ingredients you can trust, but also with our newest edition of perfumery as well.
What Can You Expect?
This may be a bit of a surprise for us here in the western world, but the historical worldly view on perfumery sees perfumes and colognes as one in the same. In fact even today, the perfumery industry en large produces unisex fragrances. But just like any art form, the final composition and purpose behind a fragrance is determined by the artist, and by extension is appreciated by the person wearing the fragrance.. This art form makes it possible to capture moments within time and space (and beyond) into rich fragrances, elevating your grooming and bathing routine to levels you won’t experience anywhere else.
Our formulations are free of phthalates, methylene chloride, styrene, nitro musks, parabens, synthetic dyes, and other artifical ingredients scientifically found to be harmful to the human body. Instead, we utilize essential oils, absolutes, extracts, and tinctures derived from the finest and reliable sources in the world of perfumery.
Although we're currently working on two cologne formulations at the time of this writing, a number of perfumes and unisex fragrances are in the works behind the scenes. Our compounds are finished as both alcohol and oil-based fragrances.
